Welcome to Model UN!

For more than 20 years, students from the University of Victoria have come together to simulate the United Nations. Why do we do this? Because it allows us the chance to step into the world of politics. By putting ourselves into the shoes of world leaders, we are given a platform to speak passionately on the issues that will shape our generation. By immersing ourselves in the international arena, we are afforded with new skills and a better understanding of the global political system.

Our club is open to everyone no matter where you come from, what you study, or how much experience you have in Model UN. Whether you’re a seasoned MUN veteran, or someone just looking to try something new, our club is open to you.

Because of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, this upcoming year of MUN is unusual. While we won’t be attending any face to face conferences as a delegation like in past years, we believe there are still opportunities to engage as a club, while also following social distancing procedures. All you have to do to be a part of the club is to sign up at the link below.

This year wasn’t what we had planned, but myself and the rest of the executive team will still do our best to bring you the best MUN experience possible!

Meet New People

Create lasting friendships with people from all over the world. MUN is a great way to connect with your peers, but its also a great way to network with academics, diplomats, and scholars.

Travel to New Places

Travel to conferences all over North America with our club. Visit new places such as Seattle, Boston, and of course, New York City, the home of the UN.

Acquire Course Credit

Depending on your involvement with the club, you may have the opportunity to acquire course credit at UVic. Last year, most of our delegation to Harvard MUN earned 1.5 credits in a Political Science Experiential Learning Course.
